diam tak diam dah 5 mnths I didn’t update hor..

first things first.. I am a QUALIFIED teacher now.. as of 1st June. have been teaching at a secondary school.. students are fine (most of the time).. stress.. of cos.. can’t run away from that. but now I’m looking at things positively.. thanks to my collegues.. and dearest him.. who listens to my woes.. a lot of new things to learn. now dat exams are over.. am busy preparing things for next yr. will be a co/form teacher for sec 1s.. i like! am in charge of netball and student council too.. i like! this coming wk or so.. i’ll be off to bintan. nope.. not on holiday! community service. so i had 4 jabs smlm.. yes, 4 (thyphoid, tetanus, hep A and flu)!! and my left arm is sore now! tsk.

moving on..

as of 10th Oct.. I got my Class 3 driving license!! a wonderful advance bday present! but am still waiting for someone to get me a car for my actual present.. dream on ya! what car do I want? Thinking of an MPV since i have a BIG family.. so Mazda Premacy or Mazda 5 will be gd. If not, Honda Stream. for a normal sedan.. Mazda 3 or 6!! if the cutey-cutey small cars.. Suzuki Swift or Mazda 2 ok lah.

1st time i drove.. went to ROMM.. Little India.. Geylang.. and IKEA! yeah.. imagine the traffic of these places! drove in m’sia as well.. in a narrow lorong.. whr i almost sebat a tentage! haha.. dorve my family for raya.

1 thing for sure.. i might just get an auto car! it’s so much more hassle free! i like. esp after developing my phobia of driving a manual car on slopes. haha. not reli a phobia ah.. it’s getting better.

highlights of my driving experience.. drove bf to vivocity! whr we had dinner.. parking was a breeze.. getting better at it too. alhamdulillah.

bday celebrations! this yr i’m so honoured to have 3 days of celebrations.

1stly, with the BF. he went thru all efforts to plan a surprise for me. thanks a lot dear. we break fast at swensen’s with desserts. yummy.. 2nd surprise.. we had our virgin trip to vivocity. for a very gd reason.. he booked 2 GOLD CLASS seats at GV!! it’s been a dream to go thr! was super happy wen i got to noe abt it! it was so comfy.. with blankets and coffee served.. can we go again pls dear? den at the stroke of midnyte.. he sent me home and gave me a bouquet of flowers!! wat a great way to end the day! i was high up in cloud 9 dat day lor. <3 thank u so much dearie.

den had a break fast with the cousins over at my place for my bday celebration. sure had lotsa food! a small affair. den went shopping with the cousins. had 2 bday cakes on dat day. 1 akak bought.. cut with the cousins. den sil got back fr work bought another cake.. with a card. thanks u all.

3rd celebration was with my dearest Fabulous4!! we went shopping at marina.. den break fast at breeks. they bought me my raya shoes and bag!! and a little somethings they added.. so unexpected! thanks ladies..

moving on..

i lost 5 kgs during fasting month!! yes.. 5!! i was so happy. but i ate A LOT during raya visiting. tsk. i tot i might have gained more den the 5 kilos i lost. but today wen i weigh myself at the clinic.. it was 49.5kg. thank god! i just dun want it to exceed 50kg.

raya celebrations. this yr.. my raya preps were so so only. my family had only 1 baju tailored. so we wore past yrs and raya haji ones. den we realised nxt yr onwards.. 1 baju wun b enuf. i had no time to do kuihs! was so busy setting exam papers. so we bought almost all kuihs fr JB. grandma raya-ed her 1st wk at bro’s house.. so to date, no one has visited my home. gd also, cos it doesn’t look like it’s in a festive mood anyway. i’m so upset dat i didn’t camwhore a lot! no snap2 here snap2 thr. so lazy.. but now regretting it. even my ‘red carpet’ tak menjadi. tsk. so it was quite a disappointing raya. but on the other hand.. it all went smooth lah.

woah.. the last time i updates was a few days aftr practicum. so lemme continue..

aftr practicum, we had a study break followd by the KILLER paper! hope all of us pass though. another wk of break, whr i had chalet with my NIE Lovelies! enjoyed myself tremendously. let the fotos on fotopg do the talking ya.

wk aftr dat, we HAD to go back to NIE for enrichment courses. most of the seminars or talks were irrelevant and a waste of time. it was compulsory, but so many ppl skipped it. some even went home halfway thru. some of the speakers were so boring and un-motivating! urrggh. wen the day ended early, we went for lunch xpress @ pizza hut and executive’s lunch @ swensens. reli value for $$!

den came the permanent sch posting memo!! most of us didnt get our practicum sch. it’s gd in a way dat we get to start anew. hopefully better experience and working environment for us all. 4 of 3049 members going back to lyss. i’m sure u all are gonna have fun thr ya.

TP in exactly 2 mnths time! yatee’s a wk b4 mine. i pray dat we both will do well. met up with them ystrdy for some belated shopping. we went to PS, had early dinner den walked and shopped and walked and shopped till abt 10pm! yes, tiring. but we had fun. i’m so in love with the things they bought me! actually, i chose them myself. at 1st i wanted shoes, bags, tops, pants or skirts. but den nothing reli2 caught my eye. try here n thr but to no avail. suddenly it strucked me dat i shud get somethng for my new teachers’ table! something i need.. something whch will remind me of them, cos i’ll see it evrday! sweet rite? hehe. fotos @ fotopgs pls.

a day b4 vesak day, met F4 for shopping trip @ expo sale. so upset dat i didnt get anythng at all! hmmph. den we had dinner at sakura and headed to tamp for more shopping. i bought a nice khaki colour dress fr ebase @ only $15!! i like. since none of us brought digicam, we took neoprints!

on vesak day, had a short getaway to m’sia with the family. cold-fun time @ the waterfall. visit fotopgs for pics pls.

the othr day i had practical learning directional change. den the instructor wanted to revise my slope techniques. and i forgot it! tsk. and driving in the circuit too much for module 3 makes me less confident wen we went out to the rds. pffft.

tmr i’ll embark on my journey as a full-fledged teacher. tmr is my 1st day reporting to the new sch i’m posted to. tmr marks the start of my teaching career professionally. tmr will determine if i’ll have a gd time in sch or not. tmr is the start of my 3-yr bond. tmr is the day! wish me luck all.

to all my NIE lovelies:

thank u for all the times we’ve spent toghtr. the experience we’ve shared are priceless and will forevr b sealed in my heart. the laughs and tears we’ve had will nvr b forgotten. it has made us all better ppl. it has been great working and playing togthr. u guys have made my life in NIE bearable. i wudnt have survived w/o the frenship we built. pls do keep in touch. we’ll meet up occasionally to share our worries and woes, also the gd experience, we’ll b having in sch ya. love y’all.

to my one and only 3049:

thanks once again for helping me get thru practicum. our rm holds a lot of memories for us all. the fun we had, the music videos we watched, the tears we cried and of cos the funny n nonsensical quotes we shared. it’ll b diff dat not all of us r togthr again.. but we will still keep in touch ok. to those going back thr.. i wish u all gd luck and may u all have a nicer time thr. to chong.. i noe u can teach JC lvl. dun worry.. u’ll have fun. and as for me.. i just hope i’ll b gladly welcome and appreciated in my new environment.

If I were to be charged or fined for this super long overdue entry, I would have to pay hundreds of dollars. hehz.

Life has been really hectic and Stressful these past few months! That’s Stressful with a capital-S! Practicum this time round is much more stressful than the 1st one I had last year. But thanks to the other trainees posted to my school, I managed to survive and still have wonderful memories while at it. They were the ones who kept me going when times were really bad and people were really nasty to me. We shared lotsa laughter and tears as well in that room we called ours. We had a dresscode on certain days and and we even have a ‘gang-name’. Haha. On my last day, they actually threw a party, not because they are have to see me leave. DUH! We had a cake, a big-big card (which I totally LURVE!), balloons and speeches! I’m so gonna miss you all badly!

There was the ‘Great Camp’ during the practicum period. It was fun but a lot of stressful moments as well.

Other than practicum, I had driving practicals as well. Am proud to say that I think I’ve improved in handling the car. Phew~ Next practical is 2 days from now. Been going for the night sessions, after school. Tiring! Sometimes it’s just so difficult to keep my eyes open. But I have to say that driving is fun even though you’ve got to simultaneously do this and that. It all takes practice, Insya’Allah. My dear friends who are also having practicals, how are you all doing so far?

To top it all of, we had a 25-page essay due right smack during the practicum period! What sey! This I’m very unhappy about. But can’t complain right. Pfft. Adds to the stress.

When was the last time I updated this blog of mine?! Been tooooooo busy. Like super duper madly busy. With school.

A lot of things have happened while I was away. But I shall start with a very important issue, which happened about a month ago I think.

Talks of the event have been going on for quite sometime now. All of us have been waiting for the confirmation before we could start on preparations. So, his parents came with his aunts and all, 6 of them altogether. Ibu cooked Kuey Teow Goreng. Grandma and aunt were here too. They discussed. At first, we thought of having it after Ramadhan and Hari Raya this year. But after some consideration, we agreed to have it in the month of December 2006, which coincides with Ayul’s birthday! Wonderful. Hooray! Now, we can all start the preparation! Can’t wait!

I guess this piece of news might come too shocking for most of you right?

WAIT!

I wish what I had written is about my engagement or even my wedding. But sadly, it’s not. So don’t go checking your mailbox for my invitation cards ya. It’s my sister’s wedding! I’m so happy for her. Really can’t wait to go around places looking for this and that.. booking this and choosing that. And of all, can’t wait to buy kain and tempah my baju! Like as if I’m getting married eh.. but then again, I have to look nice k.. adek pengantin mah! Sweetness!

I should be packing now.. As of tomorrow, I won’t be home. I’ll be having a 5-day camp at MOE campsite. Yes, you read it correctly. I just hope it’ll be lotsa fun. I mean it’s different when you go to a camp as a student and as a teacher right?

Mum has been bitten by the holiday bug! Like terribly! I think I’ve ever written about her numerous holidays right? Just a recap. She went off for a short trip to Cameron Highlands last weekend. End of this month, she’ll be going to Japan! Yup.. I repeat Japan! For a whole week! Wah lau ey. AND.. end of next month, she’s going to Australia! It’s all confirmed! I jealous liao! And here I’ll be, in sunny Singapore.. working my ass off!

am in the midst of doing my assignment but just had to blog about this!

most of you are aware of this i think. got my PINK Nokia 6111 yesterday! yippee.. weeeee~ i’m on cloud nine. but i must say that BF and me went through some trouble getting it. it all started..

a few days ago when i saw an advert about starhub roadshow. they are selling the phone @ $198 instead of the normal price of $268. to me, it’s a lot of difference ah. and i thought i saw the last day being 12th feb. however, roadshow held only at sembawang shopping ctr and west mall. thinking that SSC is much nearer.. BF accompanied me there. it drizzled on the way and i was thinking this must be some kind of bad omen! when we reached, there wasn’t any ongoing roadshow but there was a starhub shop. so i enquired about the stock and sadly, it was sold out! i was disappointed and thought maybe we should just go home then because westmall is super duper far!

but BF was kind enough to bring me there. by now, the sun was shining so brightly and we were toasted on the bike. there was a long queue and to make sure we didn’t waste time lining up, i asked about the stock. salesman: "if it is out of stock (think he couldn’t really say because it depends how many people lining up buying the phone kan), then you can apply and pay $198 but the phone can only be collected next week." so we decided to keep our fingers crossed and lined up.

when we got to the counter, i was so delighted that they had stock! thank god, it’ll be a great hassle to go back all the way to westmall if they didn’t have the stock! before i could ask if i could get the PINK one, the salesman already opened the box and it was a PINK one! yeay! another setback.. the salesman didnt realise that there was a PINK one at the roadshow. so he had to go ask a few people whether i could have that and whether there are extra charges. but lady luck was on my side! and that was the only stock left.. so sorry BF, i couldn’t get the black one, the one you preferred. and the roadshow was until 17th not 12th.. haha!

so that’s it.. i’m so in love with my new gadget. thanks BF for all the trouble, making time for me and being late for your other errands. i really appreciate it! *things people do for love* <3 hehe..

so now back to my assignment. good nyte and good morning to all..

some people can be so insensitive. how could she make us feel like our efforts, slogging n losing sleep to prepare it, was all unappreciated and wasted?! how could she put us down in such a tactless manner? how could she bring in matters that doesn’t have anythng to do with the problem at hand? of course she can.. she’s an insensitive person. honestly, i’ve lost all respect i had for her. mind you, i had a lot of respect for her ever since i starting knowing the rationale of her module, no thanks to her. thank god it happened on wednesday and i had no lessons on thurs and fridays. so i had the long weekend to recover from the depression she’s caused me. but until today, i’m still very much upset and angry at what she’s done. how could she?!

she said it was to make us realise and hopefully we’ll all make efforts to improve. but that’s what we all do when we comment on someone right? but in actual fact, we are just critisizing them. i mean.. if she had really thought of helping us, she would have done it a long time ago.. maybe since the 1st semester. why now? isn’t it a tad too late?! this is our last semester for goodness sake! there’ll be no more presentations to improve on. anyway, if most of us has not been doing well, then you should reflect on your teaching instead and not just tell us we’re stupid/slow.

i am so dreading the last week of school. and at this moment, i’d rather go for practicum then see her almost everyday. for longer hours just because she couldn’t finish her syllabus! whatthetoot! we shall get it over and done with and show her that we are not as stupid/slow as she thinks we are.. with the individual paper and exam. insya’allah.

practicals have been fun so far. have improved a lot since the 1st few times. have more confidence and better control now. a few more things to improve though. hopefully i’ll continue progressing, at a faster rate. even in practicals, the attitude of the instructors play apart. there are instructors who are so uptight and it afftected my performance. there were also others who joked and i feel so at ease behind the wheel. a number of my friends are also taking their driving lessons at this time.. somehow like there’s a calling. hehz.

finally met BF yesterday, after a whole long week. that was because both of us were bogged down with presentation preparations last week. and my aim to stop meeting him for lunch or dinner has been achieved. and because of that, i think he did look like he had lost some weight. he like.. i like. me? i do try to stop myself from eating late night and because of the depression and stress i’m having, been eating only 1 meal per day. i do hope it’ll show some results soon.

the last time we went running was last friday. managed to finish the whole round around b.res. the next day he had soccer. and the semangat me asked him to join me for another run on sunday. well, obviously my legs were not able to take it, hasn’t recovered from the previous run. lesson learnt.. allow more days for recovery!

hope to get my new hp today. that is if they still have stock by the time i get there. keep my fingers crossed!

exciting happenings for e past wk or so..? had a sleepover at hudah’s place ystrdy.. with ishdah n yatee. was quite a last min plan. in e day we went to dayana’s engagement. she looked so pretty.. almost like a hindustani bride. catched up with each other’s life during e sleepover. but this time round.. we slept quite early. we must have been real tired. nxt day, met BF for lunch before heading back home.

this holidays.. been slacking. had a mkn session with almost e entire extended family, akak’s treat bcos she got a huge bonus! <waiting for my new hp! hehe> had dinner at changi. this mrng, she left for batam. company treat to some beach destination thr. didnt get to see her b4 she went cos i got home late aftrnoon aftr e sleepover.

it just strucked me dat i’ll b having 2 presentations in 1 day.. in 1 wks time! arrgghh! horrible.

other den dat.. have been having driving lessons almost once a wk. good start.. but i’ve got no confidence wen i’m behind e wheel. any advices ppl? nxt lesson will b this fri.

tmr, gonna stay home and do my individual written assignment. and mayb get a head start on the othr assignments. this sem i seem to have slacked a lot! need to buck up! and practicum’s coming! stress! whch reminds me.. got to call e supervisor. mayb u can see her awhle on wed, during e 4hr break. my last sem n my last practicum.. got to give all i have.

btw, ibu and aunts went on a holiday during e new yr with e adi n shah grp and she had lots of praises for it! AND.. they r going on another holiday with them on v-day. tsk..

2 days ago, BF accompanied me to collect my digicam fr canon. yeay! i shall take real good care of it fr now on, i promise. den we made our way to kent ridge park to take fotos. BF always goes thr with his frens n me being e jakun me.. wanted to go too, so finally we went. BF sure love e bends n corners leading uo to kent ridge park. i took some fotos while on e moving bike. wanted to post fotos on fotopgs but something’s wrng with it now. mayb ltr2.

smlm, was supposed to jog with e ladees at pp. but i overslept! n ifah had fever. sorry to ana, for cancelling at e last min. she was thr alredi. decided to stay home to babysit e nephews while bro n sil paint their house. but they tak jadi paint. so met BF at 8pm. whr to? jogging! at b.res park!

at 1st i tot to myself mayb we can go 2 rounds. but wen we rode pass, it suddenly looked bigger den e last time i jog thr, abt 6-7 yrs ago. while running.. memories during my sec days hit me. rmbred e athletic me running e mass run and winnning some thropies. den during sports day and all. haizz.. and now.. i’m so heavy. but e memories made me smngt to jog often n regain back my slim-7-yrs-ago body! haha. but it was quite a disappointment. halfway thru, i nearly gave up. but BF spurred me on. den finally at e 3km mark, i stopped. so we walked and talked e rest of e 1.4km. but it was a gd start, 3km in 27 mins! HAHA.. fail! will improve. sorry dear!

today, gonna b a gd girl and stay home. did my ftt e-tutorial. it was crap. hehe.. hope to clean up my study area n room for e new yr n new sem! watch tv, nice prog.. since it’s e holidays.

tmr, meeting BF (cant wait!) den new yr dinner date with e cuzzies. mon, day out with fabulous4!! yeay! on a sad note, once sch starts, we wun b meeting as often as we do now.

thurs.. sent digicam for repair. sob sob!

was busy at cousin’s wedding ovr e wkend. it was reli fun, meeting up with e cousins! took lotsa pics. kendarat-ed on sunday and e nxt day my leg ache!

2days ago.. had BBQ with e guys and girls. like i always say, we sure did have a lot of fun! ate, played games, laughed, talked and posed. pics at http://khaifah.fotopages.com love y’all!

ystrdy, met mum at toa payoh aftr she settled her holiday arrangement at e agency. yup, mum going on a holiday for 4 days with my aunts! ate and walked ard. den we headed to ct plaza cos i wanted to get my raya haji outfit. hehz.. got it, vry nice! i like. bro n family joined us for dinner at arnold’s. walked a bit more den retired home and had durian for supper! haha..

today? meeting BF! to collect my digicam! yeay! hope it’ll b as gd as new! den we’ll either go for a run or head to sentosa to take pics n relax.. since it’s nearby.
